As a BCBA running my clinic, I’m constantly amazed by the dedication and care my RBTs bring to their work. They’re not just part of my team—they’re the heart of the clinic. This year, I wanted to show them how much they’re appreciated with gifts that are thoughtful, practical, and personal. Here’s the three things I’m giving my RBTs:
1. Personalized Tumbler
If you know RBTs, you know coffee (or tea or Redbull) fuels their days. I picked out this personalized tumbler because let’s be honest sometimes mass gifts feel impersonal. This also serves the double purpose of keeping cups without lids off my carpet.
2. Durable Tote Bag
Between carrying reinforcers, computers, snacks, and everything else under the sun, RBTs need a tote bag that can handle it all. This tote bag is spacious, durable, and stylish—perfect for work or personal use. I know my team will appreciate having something both functional and fun ( at least more fun than standard company issue ) to carry from session to session
3. Handy Zipper Pouch
Let’s be honest: we all misplace the small stuff sometimes. That’s why I included this zipper pouch to help my team keep tokens, pens, stickers, or other small reinforcers organized. It’s compact enough to fit in their new tote bag but big enough to make a difference. And I’ll be honest for my clinic this one is a bit of an inside joke – this is a pouch for them to put all of the “ stolen “ pens from reception.
Why I Chose These Gifts
When I was thinking about what to give, I wanted something practical but also personal—things they’d use daily but also feel special receiving. The tumbler keeps them going, the tote keeps them organized, and the pouch handles all the little details that make our jobs run smoothly. I’m pairing all three so it feels “ enough “
These gifts aren’t just “things.” They’re my way of saying, Thank you for all you do. Thank you for caring so deeply for the families we serve. Thank you for showing up every single day.
If you’re a BCBA or clinic owner, I’d love to hear what you’re doing for your team this year. Share your ideas below—there’s no such thing as too much recognition for the incredible work RBTs do!
